Who We Are / What We Believe
Salemkirken Lørenskog is an independent Pentecostal church located in Lørenskog and affiliated with the Pentecostal movement. The church was founded in 1949 and today has approximately 200 members.
What We Believe
The Bible is the infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; John 17:17)
One Triune God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way to salvation and eternal life. We believe that people are saved by believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead and by confessing with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. (Romans 10:1–10; John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8)
Those who have come to faith in Jesus should be baptized in water by full immersion. Baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus’ command. (Mark 16:16; Colossians 3:9–10; Romans 10:9)
All Christians should belong to a local church. There they are taught and trained for service: to win people for God. (Mark 16:15–20; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 10:25; Ephesians 4:11–19)
Communion / the breaking of bread should be a remembrance meal of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. It is a natural part of Christian fellowship. (1 Corinthians 11:23–29)
All Christians can experience supernatural power through the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. (Matthew 3:11)

God heals today in the same way as in the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. Therefore, we practice prayer for the sick. (Hebrews 13:8)
Jesus Christ will return to take believers to heaven, where we will live eternally with Him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13–17; Revelation 20–21)
